JEEP SAFARIS For the fast-track way into the deeper parts of the desert, you can opt for a four-wheel-drive excursion. The off-road drive in the desert sand is a highlight in itself for many who join our jeep safaris. Places visited by jeep in the desert include Makhroum Rock, High Dune, Mushroom Rock and the Colored Mountains, Wadi Arada, Double Canyon and the Nabatean Rock Inscriptions that date back to 1,000BC.For each desert trip there must be a minimum of four persons, each with a passport with necessary visa stamps.

MOUNTAIN AND MONASTERY A popular highlight of any visit to the Sinai desert, an excursion to Mount Sinai and the St Katherine’s Monastery is an unforgetable experience. Located at the foot of Mount Sinai, St Katherine’s Monastery is one of the world’s oldest monestaries, built by order of the Emperor Justinain between 527 and 565 AD. Mount Sinai (2285m) looms high above the Sinai’s golden desert mountain range and its peak offers breathtaking views across the region. Leaving Dahab in the evening to drive up to the foot of the mountain, the trip involves a hike during the night to the summit of Mount Sinai. You reach its peak just in time to see the spectacular sunrise.
